Symphony No. 5 in F minor

was written when Herschel visited “Halnaby, Nov. 15 1760”. There are three movements:

Allegro moderato, Adagio e cantabile and Allegro ma non molto.

It is scored for 2 violins (ripieno), 2 violins (obligato), viola, double bass, (bassoon), (continuo). This edition is based upon GB Lbm Add. MS 49624/5 (holograph score) and MS 49628/4 (holograph parts).
