Symphony No. 20 in C major

was written by Herschel when he was staying in “Leeds, March 12 1763”. There are three movements:

Allegro, Adagio mà non troppo and Allegro assai.

It is scored for 2 violins, viola, violoncello, double bass, 2 flutes, 2 oboes, (2 clarinets), 2 horns, timpani. This edition is based upon GB Lbm Add. MS 49627/1 (holograph score) and MS 49631/4 (holograph parts).
